Michael Warford, CFA

Michael Warford is a Managing Director based in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, leading key financial initiatives, including budgeting, planning, and internal and external reporting. Mike is also involved in guiding the firm’s investment outlook and allocating client portfolios. Mike previously managed the firm’s pension advisory services, working directly with clients on the oversight of their defined benefit plans.

He continues to lead pension termination projects and manage pension annuity purchases. He has significant experience meeting with institutional clients and leading conversations to help clients and their boards manage risks associated with pensions and the firm’s balance sheet.

Prior to joining SageView in 2025, Mike was a Principal, Director of Finance and Administration at CAP STRAT. He majored in economics and business strategy at Washington University, Olin Business School in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated in three years earning a bachelor’s in business administration. Mike is a CFA Charterholder.
