
As Managing Director, Michael leads a team of retirement plan professionals that provides comprehensive consulting services to a diverse group of clients. Key areas of focus include fiduciary oversight & governance, investment due diligence, plan design consulting, vendor management, and employee education. The team’s ultimate goal is to protect the client’s fiduciary interests while promoting financial wellness and helping to prepare employees for retirement.
With more than 23 years of industry experience, Michael believes that having a firm understanding of the regulatory environment, deploying dedicated subject matter experts, and having a strong commitment to finding efficiencies in the marketplace are all key factors in helping his clients build effective and successful retirement plans.
Michael graduated from Baylor University and has attained the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2011, he was named “Most Influential Advisor by The 401k Wire. In 2012, Michael earned the C(k)P Certified 401k Professional designation from TRAU. Every year since 2013, Michael has been named to the Financial Times 401(k) Top Retirement Plan Advisors. Michael’s professional memberships/affiliations include: Founding Lecturer of The Retirement University (TRAU) at the UCLA Anderson School of Business; Member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA), serving on Prudential Retirement Financial Advisory Council and on the national Retirement Advisory Council.
