Eric Weissman wears many hats at SageView Advisory Group. He serves as SageView’s lead Financial Wellness Consultant for the San Francisco Bay Area, working with organizations of all sizes and in all industries to develop effective financial education campaigns and to provide individualized guidance on financial topics directly to their employees. As a veteran retirement plan expert who specializes in navigating the sea of complex industry regulations, Eric also helps companies to design and maintain retirement plans that focus on the financial success of their employees. Eric is also the chief Financial Planner for the Bay Area SageView office. He relies on his 15 years of industry experience, plus the extensive tools and resources offered by SageView, to help individuals and families define and achieve their financial goals.
Eric’s unique background makes him especially suited for his multifaceted role. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, Eric taught introductory philosophy courses at Loyola Marymount University, where he honed his communication skills. While Eric has not lost his love for teaching, he has always been drawn toward the world of investing. The most fulfilling part of his career as a financial planner and wellness consultant is that Eric is able to unite his two passions. He believes that everyone should have access to the tools they need to successfully manage their money, including the help of experts who can demystify complex financial topics.
If he didn’t do this professionally, Eric would still be obsessed with investments and retirement planning. Luckily, he gets to do this for a living, which means that he gets to dedicate his free time to his wife and son, usually while rooting for the San Francisco 49ers and Golden State Warriors.
Eric is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and holds a B.A. in German Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.A. in Philosophy from Loyola Marymount University.
