
Andrew is a Retirement Plan Consultant, based out of SageView’s Richmond, VA office. Prior to joining SageView in 2021, Andrew was a defined contribution plan consultant at Mercer, and led Mercer’s administration consulting to public sector DC plans. He served as a member of the Defined Contribution Committee, Managed Account Strategic Research Committee and the Retirement Income Strategic Research Committee. In 18 years at Mercer, he worked with several of the largest public sector DC plans in the United States, including 19 State-sponsored DC plans and some of the largest City and County DC plans. Andrew has experience in assisting clients with strategic planning, plan design, governance, fee benchmarking, product reviews and assistance with TPA RFP projects. He has assisted public sector DC plans with RFP projects that represent over $120 billion in assets and 2.6 million participants, which includes his work with VRS in 2013 and 2015.
Prior to working at Mercer, Andrew worked at Nationwide Retirement for 5 years in multiple departments of the company that provides recordkeeping for governmental DC plans.
Andrew is an active member of NAGDCA (National Association of Governmental Defined Contribution Administrators) and has been a panel speaker at multiple NAGDCA conferences on topics such as “Current Trends in RFPs” and “Revenue, Expenses and Disclosure.” He authored a white paper for NAGDCA titled, “Preparing and Evaluating a Request for Proposals: How to Select a Vendor.”
